PERSONAL LOAN/

Esther is a 76- year old divorced woman who lives on a disability income as the result of a degenerative bone disease. After receiving a $3,000 loan, she wrote to us saying: “I can never thank you enough for giving me the loan. I bought a bed to replace the one I had been sleeping on for 20 years. I invested in a vacuum that eliminates the dust that clogs my breathing and I bought a new TV. Being in the house 24/7 is not easy, but now it is a little more pleasurable.”

FERTILITY LOAN/

Jessica came to JFLT in tears. She had undergone 14 years of fertility treatments and was desperate to have a child. She explained: “ My husband is the son of Holocaust survivors. It is very important for us to have a child who will continue on the family name.” JFLT granted Jessica and her husband a Fertility Loan in order to undergo a new, promising procedure. Last year, Jessica gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. As Jessical says: “Thanks to JFLT we now have a little one to love and someone who will carry on my husband’s name”.

EDUCATION LOAN/

Svetlana is a 27-year-old single woman who had become a doctor in her native Russia. When she immigrated to Canada she learned that it would take her 10 years to requalify. Not able to financially or emotionally afford this difficult journey, Svetlana, made the brave decision to pursue a 2-year Master’s of Business Entrepreneurship degree. JFLT and JIAS are proud to be organizations that helped launch Svetlana on her new career path.

Mark is a two-time JFLT loan recipient who recently received $10,000 to study Law. This is what he sent us:
